Can you Really Surf Detroit?

Detroit Surf Co. started in late 2005 with just one t-Shirt to wear around Maui Hawaii in winter and Detroit in the summer to show pride in being from Detroit.
When I wore the shirt, everyone asked where I got my shirt from, and how can they get one for themselves. After hearing this a thousand times, a light bulb went off in my head. I trademarked my ideas, and started carrying around a backpack full of shirts with the original classic Detroit Surf Co. logo, and shortly after Detroit Surfboards logo. I'd sell out every time we went out wearing a shirt, people from all around the country, and world wanted shirts. The backpack full of shirts went to a trunk full of shirts, to van van full of stuff, to a house full of more stuff to selling online all around the world.

Today we make Detroit Surf Co. brand Surfboards, Stand Up Paddle Boards right here in DETROIT MICHIGAN with all 100% USA made materials. We're also in development of Snowboards under the brand name Detroit Snowboards, and Skateboards under the brand Detroit Skateboards and Detroit Longboards. The Snowboards will be made in Grand Rapids Michigan using 100% Michigan materials. The Skateboards will be made in Mt. Clemens Michigan using a mix of American and Canadian materials.

Detroit Surf Co. is also expanding the apparel line to include water wear, to debut this summer 2012.

I had no idea a t-shirt I made 6 years ago to show pride in being from DETROIT MICHIGAN would lead to where we are at today.

DETROIT SUP BOARDS:

Since the Advent of Stand Up Paddle Boards (SUP), the sport of surfing and paddling is ready to explode in the Great Lakes region. Today Detroit Surf Co. has begun production of the 2012 Stand Up Paddle Boards, specifically designed for use in fresh water. 2012 models can be ordered now, to be delivered in spring 2012.

DETROIT SNOWBOARDS:

We've begun development of Snowboards as of fall 2011. The Snowboards will be under our brand name "Detroit Snowboards" and will utilize our trident D logo. Sale of these boards will begin fall 2012.

DETROIT SKATEBOARDS, and DETROIT LONGBOARDS:

Longboards are available NOW! .

FINALLY:

YES… I can, and DO surf, although many people tell me not very well. (I have to remind them I'm from DETROIT !)

You don't need to be from Detroit to sport our Detroit Surf Co. gear or boards, you just have to be Tough.
